STATEMENT IN. CLARITY OUT.

Your money,
finally legible.

sbudget reads your bank statement PDF and rebuilds the month as a hierarchy: coffee → Food & Drink → everything you actually spent. No bank logins. No screen-scraping. No spreadsheet guilt.

  • On-device parsing
  • iOS 18+
  • No raw PDFs uploaded

HOW IT WORKS

Three steps. One PDF.

01

Export, don't connect

Grab a PDF from any bank app. sbudget never asks for your bank password, and there is no aggregator sitting in the middle.

02

Parse on device

PDFKit reads the text. Scans fall back to Apple Vision OCR. Merchants are normalised, duplicates removed, categories inferred with a transparent rule engine.

03

See the hierarchy

Parent categories, subcategories and individual transactions in one drill-down. Budgets roll up the same tree, so an envelope always matches the maths.

THE HIERARCHY

Categories that explain themselves.

Most trackers give you a pie chart and a shrug. sbudget keeps the receipts: every parent total opens into subcategories, then into the exact statement lines that produced it.

  • Food & Drink → Groceries, Restaurants, Coffee, Delivery
  • Home & Bills → Housing, Utilities, Phone & Internet
  • Transport → Rides, Fuel, Parking
  • Recurring → weekly, fortnightly, monthly and yearly charges
  • Custom categories and per-category envelopes

PRIVACY, BY DEFAULT

Your statement is not our dataset.

Parsing happens on your iPhone. The raw PDF is discarded after import. Analytics and crash reports are opt-in, and never include merchant names, amounts or statement text.

Try it with demo data.

The beta build ships with three months of realistic transactions so you can judge the hierarchy before importing anything sensitive.
