sbudget is in beta. If something looks wrong, email sbudget@sudoconvert.com with your iOS version, app version and a short description. Please do not send a real bank statement.
How do I import a statement?
Export a PDF statement from your bank's app or website, open sbudget, and tap Import PDF on Home or in Settings. The parser works best with text-based PDFs. Scanned statements fall back to Apple Vision OCR.
Why is a transaction in the wrong category?
Open the transaction, then choose a category and subcategory from the picker. The category engine is rule-based and transparent. Corrections stay on your device.
Is my statement uploaded?
No, not by default. Parsing happens on your iPhone and the raw PDF is discarded after import. If you are signed in and explicitly enable the optional Cloudflare parser, only the extracted text is sent. See the privacy policy for details.
Why does a merchant logo look wrong or missing?
Logos come from public favicon data for recognised brands. Some local or regional merchants are not in the catalogue yet, and some banks add location codes or card numbers to the merchant line. Those fall back to a category icon. Send us the merchant name and country if you want it added.
Does sbudget work outside the UK?
Yes. sbudget supports statements from any bank that exports a usable PDF, and the merchant catalogue covers brands across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Oceania. Currency conversion uses public exchange rates and your chosen base currency.
How do I delete my data?
Settings → Delete all local data removes statements, transactions and budgets from the device. Individual statements can be removed from Settings → Statements. To delete an account, email us.
How do I join or leave the beta?
Email sbudget@sudoconvert.com to request a TestFlight invitation. TestFlight lets you stop testing at any time.
Accessibility
sbudget supports Dynamic Type, dark mode and reduced motion. If a screen is hard to use with VoiceOver or larger text, tell us and we will fix it.
